Who We Are


Sage Mahosadha is a writer, community elder, sacred activist, mentor and creator of Moyo Aflame (Heart Aflame). He is a community teacher at East Bay Meditation Center. He currently lives in Bremerton, Washington where he studies Zen, is a member of The Episcopal Church, and continues to work as a sacred activist.




Sara Falls is a high school English Teacher in San Francisco, CA. Some of her fondest childhood memories include books, and so she hopes to inspire a love of reading in her students. Sara has also had a regular writing practice since she began publishing ‘zines at the age of fifteen. She writes essays, poetry, and short stories. In her spare time, aside from reading and writing, Sara studies martial arts, cooks, watches movies, plays board games, enjoys the outdoors, and hangs with her sweetie and their cat in a small cohousing community in Oakland, California. She brings her wit, keen insight, intelligence and openness to her book reviews here on Moyo Aflame.



Rev. Kelly Rivera Hart is an interfaith minister, mentor, sacred activist and blogger. Kelly writes for his own blog which is entitled Radical Spirit. Kelly's blog can be found here. Kelly has been very active in LGBT and HIV/AIDS activism in The San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California and is very well known throughout The Bay Area and beyond for his activism, compassion, spiritual guidance, loving heart and spirit and his ability to be an open, caring, giving and charitable friend to many. Kelly brings all of this to his writing and now brings them to his contributions here at Moyo Aflame. Kelly's insight plays a role in the ongoing development and expression of this blog. His writing combines spiritual maturity and sacred activism. He brings his poignant, insightful, fun, complex and thought provoking posts here. Kelly lives in San Francisco, CA.
