So many of us prefer to create critical stories about another, solidify these stories in the mind, then pretend these are incontrovertible truths rather than simply taking a few moments to "check out" our perceptions beforehand with the other, taking the risk of actually learning something and expanding our consciousness in the process. We so often live in a tabloid/fairytale world of our own creation...
