Real Eyes...

If you are someone who seriously wonders how the endless forms and expressions, as well as the terrible and horrifying scope of atrocities that have taken place in many stages of human history and are continuing to take place today as well, could have possibly taken place and still continue to take place--wars, genocide, environmental destruction, extreme disparities in wealth, income, access to health and medical care and other valuable resources, starvation in a world where there is enough food for all, the planned and deliberate lack of clean, available drinking water for millions of people, the attempted or successful eradication of entire cultures and civilizations, torture, slavery, cruelty toward animals, and on and on, then...take a deep breath...one way to contemplate and understand it all...all of it...yes...is to look inside your own heart and your own soul and to contemplate your own ego mind and your own potential for violence and destruction and realize...(real eyes), the seeds of all of it...all of it, are present there, inside of you/us/we/you/me/all of us...yes...and then, send yourself lots and lots of metta (Loving Kindness). This process may be uncomfortable to do perhaps, perhaps extremely uncomfortable and disconcerting, though no less valuable...breathe in, breath out...May All Beings Real Eyes Our Inherent Liberation _/\_
